Day Camp

Science Adventure Camp has something for everyone! In summer our days begin with the group meeting at the park for an introduction to the day’s events by Science Teacher Sarah. In case of bad weather or during the school year we meet in the classroom. On in-class days we do hands-on projects while we learn various themes, such as: biology, evolution, plants, animals, biodiversity, astronomy, chemistry, aviation, atoms, molecules, science of ancient cultures, and more! We also have the option of Animal Care and Petting where Junior Scientists learn about our animals and help take care of them. Don’t forget our Short-wave Cave... see what glows, you never know.

We traditionally take three trips a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays! We go to various wonderful places to learn about science in and around New York City. These places may include: Bronx Zoo, Queens Hall of Science, Cradle of Aviation, Atlantis Aquarium, American Museum of the Moving Image, New York Aquarium, and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, and so many, many more!

Two snacks are provided by us, one bag lunch is provided by you. No lunch boxes or thermal lunch bags please.
